Assistant Agronomist

We are currently seeking an Agronomist who can support our business operations through their strong sense of ownership and passion by delivering an excellent service experience. This position would be based out of Winkler, Manitoba, Canada.

In This Position You’ll Have the Opportunity to Do What You Do Best:

• Coordinate, train and lead crop scouting of potatoes, onions, and hemp.
o Tissue sampling, crop sampling, irrigation planning, etc.
• Assist with crop planning, rotations, and prescriptions.
• Work as part of the Agronomy team to contribute to furthering research and development through the collection and reporting of relevant agronomic data.
• Analyse data for trends and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining and updating our mapping platforms.
o Capture and update farm assets within the system (including fields, varieties, irrigation infrastructure, buildings, etc.).
o Utilize software to create visual reports based on existing farm information.
• Participate in Agronomic education to further understand and grow the department.
• Work closely in a team setting

• 2+ years of Agronomy experience.
• A love for agriculture and the outdoors.
• Experience or interest in learning mapping software is an asset.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skillset.
• Exceptional ability to plan and organize.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Farming experience will be considered an advantage.
