BILINGUAL POSITION

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people‐centered care approach within Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home (PCH), Primary Health Care, Public Health‐Healthy Living and/or Home Care. The LPN works to full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education and maintains competency congruent with Southern Health-Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, College of Licensed Practical Nurse of Manitoba Code of Ethics, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba and the Regulated Health Professions Act.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Le personnel infirmier auxiliaire autorisé (inf. aux. aut.) applique la démarche infirmière pour aider les bénéficiaires, les résidents ou les patients à atteindre et maintenir un état de santé optimal. Ce personnel applique cette démarche selon l’approche des soins axés sur le patient d’un établissement de soins actifs, primaires, de transition ou de santé publique – vie saine, d’un foyer de soins personnels ou à domicile. L’inf. aux. aut. peut occuper un poste dans tout le champ d’exercice de la profession, s’engage à une formation permanente et fait en sorte que son champ de compétences soit conforme à la politique de Southern Health-Santé Sud, aux normes de pratique professionnelle, au code de déontologie du College of Licensed Practical Nurse of Manitoba, au profil des compétences pour les inf. aux. aut. du Manitoba et à la Loi sur les professions de la santé réglementées.

Le ou la titulaire du poste bénéficie d’un niveau d’initiative approprié et fait preuve d’un jugement indépendant pour déterminer les priorités de travail, les méthodes de travail à utiliser et les mesures à adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles.
