JNR Farms Transport is a growing company based in the Red River Valley that specializes in hauling bulk commodities and open deck freight across western Canada and the United States. We are seeking a full time Logistics Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers
- setting and negotiating freight rates
- identifying new freight opportunities
- dispatching company drivers as well as owner operators daily
- oversight in the hiring and training process for drivers including onboarding and annual performance reviews
- procuring loads weekly to ensure fleet is operating at maximum capacity
- effectively communicating load status updates to all involved parties
- load planning and routing trucks using Axon Software
- preparing customs documents and e-manifests through Greeneye for border crossings
- coordinating shipments with appropriate customs brokers
- reconciling fuel statements weekly and submitting quarterly IFTA reports
- reviewing hours of service for all drivers weekly within Motive ELD and implementing any corrective measures that may be necessary
- ensuring permitting for all jurisdictions remains in good standing and applying for new permits when needed
- managing maintenance program for the fleet including updating maintenance records for all equipment
- scheduling safety inspections and regular maintenance for all equipment
- compiling shipping documents weekly and submitting them to accounting
- fielding driver issues such as routing concerns, maintenance or repair requests, or incorrect load paperwork
- other duties as assigned
Applicants must:
- have experience within the transportation industry; prior dispatching or management experience will be considered an asset
- be familiar with Microsoft Office software primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook
- have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- be able to resolve conflict effectively
- be highly organized with a calm demeanor
- be able to work well independently with minimal supervision but also as part of a team
- demonstrate strong leadership qualities including the ability to delegate tasks
- be friendly and personable
- be problem solvers who are highly adaptable to change
- have reliable transportation to and from our head office in Rosenort, MB

Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience with Axon Software, Motive ELD, or Greeneye e-manifest.
A background in agriculture is considered an asset but is not required.
