Position Overview:
As an experienced GM you will support the restaurant by providing coaching to the team creating a supporting, fun, inviting work environment where all members of the team feel respected and valued. You will know how to identify 5-Star talent and how to put the right people in the right places at the right time through effective scheduling. With the support of the restaurant franchisee, you will manage the daily operations and team. You will be responsible for the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems. In this role, you will ensure the achievement of all restaurant objectives while following all Company guidelines and ensuring compliance with all federal/provincial/local laws and ethical business practices. You will lead, interview, select, direct, train and develop all Shift Managers, Team Trainers and Crew with the support of your Franchisee. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant.
Responsibilities Summary:
-Maximize restaurant sales, achieve budgets, execute marketing programs & limited time offerings
-Drive compliance with company operating policies & procedures including enforcement & training of management and staff
-Train monitor & enforce all food safety policies & procedures
-Ensure Cash management practices and policies are completed and followed
-Manage food/paper/labor costs and other costs associated with the successful operation of the restaurant
-Prepare/submit food, paper & chemical orders according to schedule
-Utilize an ongoing system for the recruitment, development, recognition and retention of store management and crew
-Prepare and conduct quality, timely performance feedback
-Ensure continuous excellence in Quality, Service & Cleanliness
-Utilize approved systems & tools according to Wendy’s standards & oversee successful execution in your absence
-“Delight Every Customer” using Wendy’s Customer Experience Playbook and ensuring execution across all restaurant dayparts
-Lead the successful daily restaurant operations through personal example putting our guests, team and community top priority.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Management or equivalent number of years combination of education and experience Required
Two years General Manager experience in a QSR or 5 or more number of years combination General Manager, Asst. Manager, Supervisor Required
Must be at least 18 years of age; Permanent Resident of Canada; Fluent in English Required
General knowledge of provincial & federal employment laws. Ability to quickly become knowledgeable about and able to train others in Wendy’s systems (i.e., WeLearn, HMS) and on employee development programs Required
Must be able to accomplish all Key Responsibilities. Ability to work, concentrate and perform duties accurately in a fast paced environment that may involve noise and hot/cold temperatures or other elements. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Position requires the use of a headset. Frequent lifting and carrying (up to 25-50 pounds, as necessary), reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and stooping is involved Required
Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and giving sound advice and direction. Must be able to take direction, give direction, work well in a team environment and have a strong customer orientation focus. Must exhibit professionalism, composure, and discretion when expediting or resolving all customer related concerns and issues Required
Flexibility to work a 50 hour work week. Must be available to report to work promptly and regularly, and to work all day parts and days of the week. Will be required to work all hours including early mornings, daytime, evening & midnights. Required
Must have or complete prior to the beginning of training NFSTP certification Preferred
Reliable Transportation for all dayparts (24 hours) Required
