Store Manager

Country Meat Deli is a family-run retail butcher shop and deli, located in Steinbach, MB. We believe we have the best people to work with - and are looking for a Store Manager to join our team.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with an innovative spirit and a passion for leading a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall day to day operations of the store and overseeing staff. This is a hands-on manager position that will be involved in all aspects of the Deli from office work to team building to customer service.

Job duties and responsibilities:
· Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
· Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
· Promotes optimum staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
· Establish rapport with the current customer base.
· Ensures availability of merchandise by communicating with suppliers and placing orders.
· Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sales promotion, and authorizing sales.
· Coordination of marketing with third-party companies.
· Leads operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program procedures.

The successful candidate will need to be available to work flexible daytime hours Monday – to Friday with some evenings shifts until 7pm and alternate Saturday shifts. This is a full-time position. Remuneration will be determined based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid vacation, and a store discount.

Store Manager Qualifications and Skills:
· Strong customer service skills,
· High level of flexibility,
· Great written and verbal communication skills,
· Basic Microsoft Office knowledge,
· Basic accounting experience is considered an asset,
· Previous management experience is considered an asset.
