Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at Esso. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our establishment, interacting with customers, processing transactions, and ensuring a seamless experience for all who visit our gas station and restaurant.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome customers upon their arrival at the store with a friendly demeanor.
• Determine and confirm the prices of items, services, or entry fees, and accurately compute the total amount owed using electronic cash registers or scanners.
• Process various forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, or automatic debits with precision.
• Package purchased items by wrapping or bagging them for customers.
• Offer product details, service information, and promotional updates to customers as needed.
• Conduct end-of-shift reconciliations by calculating the total payments received and comparing them to total sales.
• Verify customers' ages when handling transactions involving tobacco products.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
• Strong in attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
