Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our team at Esso Gas Station & Restaurant. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, preparing and cooking delicious dishes to delight our customers. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook entire meals or separate dishes and ingredients.
• Organize and oversee the schedule of kitchen assistants.
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
• Manage inventory and maintain detailed records of food, materials, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness in the kitchen and workspace.
• Develop menus, assess portion sizes and estimate food needs and expenses.
Requirements:
• Experience as a line cook is an asset.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
