Skills for Success Instructor

WEM - Steinbach is looking for a Skills for Success Instructor with understanding and experience in Adult Education and a proven ability to support learners to use the skills gained and assist them in moving into further training or employment.

This is a contracted position of varying lengths and delivery times. The contract is based on the needs and availability of our learners and partners. We work in cooperation with our learners, assessing their needs and customizing individual learning plans.

We are looking for an Instructor with experience that focuses on Reading, Document Use, Writing and Numeracy Skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education or Adult Education Certificate would be an asset.
• A minimum of 2 years of instructional experience would be an asset.
• Experience and strength in preparing and delivering customized learning to a multi-level group that directly supports learning would be an asset.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office and Google Drive).
• Confidence in planning engaging and interactive learning.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong self-management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of cultural intelligence.
• Perform required administrative tasks to support WEM Centre operations.
• Applicant must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Those selected will be required to prepare a lesson plan and deliver a training demonstration session on a given topic as part of the interview process.
