Job Description:Job Description Under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor duties will include: · Diagnosing and repairing the following: diesel and/or other internal combustion engines, transmissions and/or hydraulic equipment, all related electrical and auxiliary equipment · Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance work · Ensure repairs and maintenance follow manufacturer specifications and safety regulations · Complete work orders upon completion of each job, recording work done and advise if additional work may be required· Perform diagnostics with a computer, desire to continue learning updated technology as the industry continues to evolve · Training and directing Apprentices may be required · Valid Driver’s License Requirements: · Previous heavy duty experience is an asset· Must be physically capable of routine manual labour components of the position, which may include heavy lifting, maneuvering within or around large equipment, diesel exhaust fumes and chemical agents used in the mechanical field · Strong computer skills · Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to problem solve · Follow the safety program including all policies, procedures and practices · Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision .
