General Farm Worker

We are currently seeking General Farm Workers to support our agricultural needs in Winkler, MB. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Helping with manual weed control and removal of weeds in our organic onions, potatoes, bean fields and tree lines. Workers must be able to bend and stoop during weeding.
• Assisting with preparing storages for the new crop
• Assisting with binning operations during harvest
• Examining produce for quality/grading produce
• Vegetable culling
• Harvesting, sorting, picking, and packing produce. Workers must be able to lift loads up to 75 Ibs when packing produce.
• Driving farm machinery. The worker must have a driver's license from the province where he lives.
• Stacking cartons and bags of potatoes.
• Assembling boxes.
• Washing & unloading potatoes.
• General clean-up in the storage facility and equipment.
• Loading & unloading seed.
• Helping with other duties related to vegetable production.
• Moving produce to and from other area of the building
• Handling and hanging totes
• Assisting with machinery maintenance
